Role Summary:
STRIVR creates impactful, engaging, and intuitive training experiences in Virtual Reality. As a VR designer, you will work closely with the Product team to create products that delight our customers. Your work will focus on creating storyboard mock-ups, in-headset prototypes and fully integrated VR features. The scope of the features on which you will work includes interaction design, user interface design, animations, effects, lighting, and 3D model manipulation. You also will be expected to read technical specification documents and come up with designs that solve the problem at hand while considering usability and engagement. When new designs are created, you also will be responsible for user-testing your work and iterating on it based on feedback.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to understand feature requirements • Design high-quality 2D and 3D experiences in various styles and level of fidelity • Maintain cohesive vision of content through regular interaction with Design Directors and other project leads • Develop specification documents for the team • Create storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups, and related documents to illustrate user interfaces/flows • Create interactive prototypes • Create in headset mockups • Maintain an understanding of various and emerging VR platforms • Collaborate with Design Directors and Marketing team for branding efforts
Skills and Experience:
• 1-3 years Unity experience (required) • 1-3 years with VR or game development processes from design methodology to production • Basic C# programming • Generalist 3D art skills (modeling, texturing, materials/lighting, rigging, animation) • Portfolio that demonstrates skills
